At Hanham Toddlers Pre-school we are very proud to work in partnership with parents and work hard to foster these very important relationships.
Prior to your child starting with us we will organise a home visit where we can meet you and your child to begin to familiarise ourselves with each other and to have an opportunity for you to discuss your child in a private and familiar environment.
As well as our committee which is made up of parents we also offer parents the chance to come into the classrooms to help us with sessions. Many of our sessions will see parents in the rooms helping out with activities such as cooking.
Each long term we hold Sharing Sessions when parent/carers for a group at a time are invited into the classroom to spend time playing with the children, observing them at play and meeting other parents.
We frequently take the children out of the premises for activities such as Forest School Days and pre-school trips. At these times we are very lucky to always have sufficient parental help to enable us to meet our ratio of 1 adult to 2 children.
Within the first term of your child starting with us or moving into their second year you will be invited in to meet their Key Person and to discuss how your child has settled.
In addition you will be invited in to see and discuss your child’s Learning Journal on three occasions during an academic year.
