Children with additional needs are part of the pre-school’s ethos.  We currently have two Special Needs Co-ordinators (Senco’s) who cover the whole week, plus a SENCO Advisor. We also have the benefit of two additional SENCo support workers within the staff team. All children are treated equally in accordance with the pre-school policy.

Positive partnerships with parents ensure that My Plans are effective in meeting the specific needs of the children/child.  These are reviewed regularly with all parties concerned.

When additional support from outside the setting is required, the pre-school will contact the relevant agencies in agreement with the parents/carers.  This enables the pre-school to work in partnership with outside professionals supporting both the child and their family.
